2018 Forest Festival Royalty Crowned, Grand Marshal Selected, Button Art Winner Announced

The majesty of the forest was on display at the Mason County Forest Festival Coronation Saturday, March 10 as royalty for the 2018 edition of the event was crowned in Shelton.

Reigning over the 2018 Forest Festival are:

Queen of the Forest – Jessica Schreiber, Shelton High School, Senior

Paul Bunyan – Spencer Burris, Shelton High School, Senior

Timber the Axe Man – Gregory Jenney, Shelton High School, Senior

Princess of Hemlock – Trinity Fewell, Choice, Junior

Princess of Cedar – Julia Castro, Shelton High School, Junior

Saturday’s coronation event also saw Shelton resident Annette McGee introduced as Grand Marshal for the 2018 Paul Bunyan Grand Parade.

Charlotte Hansen, a sixth grade student at Southside School, was announced the winner of the button design contest for the 2018 Forest Festival.

The theme of the 2018 Forest Festival is “Fun in the Forest!” The event is capped by the Saturday, June 2 Paul Bunyan Grand Parade through downtown Shelton. Many other Forest Festival activities are scheduled Thursday May 31 through Sunday, June 3.
