Shelton Police Partner with Crime Victim Service Center

The Shelton Police Department’s mission is to provide excellent service and protection through leadership and partnership with the community. A key part of that mission is partnership. Starting this month, Shelton PD will be partnering with the Crime Victim Service Center of Lewis and Mason Counties to provide specialized crime victim assistance and consultation services.

Twice a week, a Victim Advocate from the Crime Victim Service Center will be at the Shelton Police Department to help with confidential referrals for professional services. There is no cost to participate in this program. Services include crisis intervention, systems advocacy, community education and outreach, legal advocacy, crime victim’s compensation, and civil anti-harassment orders. A suspect does not need to be identified, arrested, or charged for a victim to access these resources.

The Victim Advocate will be at the Shelton Police Department, located at 525 West Cota Street,on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 – 11:00 AM.

For additional information, please contact the Shelton Police Department at 360-426-4441, or the Crime Victim Services Center at 360-426-9726.
