A missing box on a candidate’s mailing has drawn complaints and accusations of violating federal law. Candidate for Shelton City Council, Eric Onisko, used a United States Postal Service option to mail information to every address in the City but he forgot to include on his printings the small box – called an “indicia” – that indicates the flyer’s postage was paid.
Onisko assured MasonWebTV Powered by HCC the postage was paid.
The USPS service is called “Every Door Direct Mail” and more information on the service can be found on USPS.com.
Onisko is one of 15 candidates running for four seats on the newly formed Shelton City Council. Onisko, Jason Coots and Jess Mosley are running for Council Member No. 4. The Primary Election is Februray 13th with the top two vote getters advancing to the April 24th General Election.
