Once again, the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce is offering a small group travel trip. This year’s destination is Peru.
Travelers will depart from SeaTac on May 16, 2018 for the seven day, six night trip. The first stop is the capital city of Lima, before taking a flight for several days in Cusco and a train ride through the sacred Valley of Urubamba to the world-famous “Lost City of the Incas” Machu Picchu. The trip also includes an excursion to the nearby ruins of the Sacsayhuaman fortress. Finally the group will return to Lima, where the tour ends after spending a day to discovering the cosmopolitan coastal city. An optional extension to explore Puno is available.
“It’s not just a destination, but a new way of seeing things,” according to Chamber executive director Heidi McCutcheon. “Traveling with a group gives some extra securities; it also creates bonds for people in our community. We want our neighbors to experience this history together.”
The cost begins at just $2,699 per person and includes six nights of superior accommodations, daily breakfast, two lunches, entrance fees, local guides, transport, and flights.
