A 22-year-old Belfair man was struck by a car on State Route 3 in Allyn Saturday afternoon. The State Patrol reports the incident occurred just before 4 PM at milepost 21 where the pedestrian attempted to cross the highway from east to west. Troopers are still investigating but a press memo says the man “collided with the vehicle” which was a southbound 2005 Toyota Camry.
The pedestrian has been identified as Tyler J. Knapp who was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The driver of the Toyota, Shane N. Walsh, 26 of Grapeview, was not injured.
