SHS Boys Fall to Australian Team; MMK Teams Win at Three Rivers; NM Boys win in Bremerton
The Shelton boys’ basketball team lost to a team from Melbourne, Australia Tuesday night. The Highclimbers lost to Templestowe College 52 to 40. The Aussie team built a 13-point lead in the second quarter which Shelton cut to 4 but the Highclimbers were unable to get closer.
Templestowe College was led by Will MacRae who score 24 pointss and Aiden Glassborrow who added 16.
Ty Thompson scored 15 points to lead Shelton in the loss. The ‘Climbers drop to 1-and-4 on the season. They return to South Sound Conference play Wednesday against Gig Harbor. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will broadcast the game from the Mini Dome.
The Mary M. Knight girls’ basketball team knocked off Three Rivers Christian Tuesday 42 to 35. Kaylee Sowle led the Lady Owls with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 10 steals and 3 blocks. Jayden Davidson added 12 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks. The girls from Matlock are 4-and-3 on the season. The MMK girls host Taholah Friday.
The Mary M. Kngith boys’ basketball team beat Three Rivers Christiam Tuesday 65 to 51. The Owls outscored the Eagles 37 to 23 in the second half. The boys from Matlock are 5-and-2 on the season. They host Taholah Friday.
The North Mason boys’ basketball team made it two wins in a row Tuesday as the Bulldogs beat Bremerton 52 to 42. The boys from Belfair also picked up their first Olympic League win of the season and evened their overall record at 3-and-3. North Mason hosts North Kitsap Friday.
