Each year the Shelton-Mason County Chamber hosts its members and community leaders at the Annual Awards Gala where the prestigious Business, Citizen, and Volunteer of the Year are presented and the President’s Choice award is revealed.
The Chamber’s executive director Heidi McCutcheon says, “These nominees are extraordinary people who are dedicated to bettering our community. It is immensely rewarding to acknowledge them for their service and to show our appreciation for the incredible difference they are making in our community.”
Business of the Year honors the business that made the most significant contribution benefiting the Mason County business community over the past year. Any size business is eligible as the Chamber strives to recognize overall contributions improving our community and the business climate. This year’s nominees are Domino’s Pizza, Off the Walls Gallery, and The Shopper.
Three citizens made the slate for the 2017 Citizen of the Year award, which honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to enhance the business community and the community at large, giving freely of their energy and expertise. These nominees include Eileen Bailey of EI. Kristyn & Son, Nicole Frazier of My Painted Heart, and Rob Wilson-Hoss of Hoss & Wilson-Hoss Attorneys at Law.
Volunteer of the Year nominees are recognized for their contributions to the Chamber’s programs and activities. These volunteers have given their time and talents in an effort to enhance the business community and the community at large. This year’s nominees are Darren Eisele of Hood Canal Communications, Lisa Perry of Sierra Pacific Industries, and Julie Nichols of Whitehouse & Nichols, LLP.
