The Shelton football team fell to Central Kitsap Friday 45 to 0 in the Homecoming for the Highclimbers.
The Cougars scored quickly and often. On their first possession, CK went 57 yards in two plays for their first touchdown and were able to score on all but three of there possessions.
Shelton wasn’t able to capitalize on a fumble recovery, a blocked punt and a drive kept alive by a roughing the kicker penalty.
The Highclimbers are still looking for their first win of the season. They travel to Ingersoll Stadium next Friday to take on Capital. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will be on hand to broadcast the game.
The North Mason football team was shut out by 6th ranked North Kitsap Friday 42 to 0. The Bulldogs drop to 4-and-4 on the season, 1-and-4 in the Olympic League. The boys from Belfair head to Bremerton next week.
On Thursday, Mary M. Knight’s football team beat the Washington School for the Deaf 66 to 32. This was the second time the Owls beat the Terriers this season. MMK is now 5-and-3 on the season, 3-and-1 in the Coastal 1B League. Mary M. Knight is tied with Oakville for second in the league standings. The Owls host the Acorns next Saturday at 1 PM.
