Power Line Installation to Affect Traffic on SR 3

Starting Monday, underground power line installation will affect traffic on State Route 3 near Shelton.

Travelers will encounter one-way alternating traffic and shoulder closures near milepost 4 during the latter half of October as crews working for the Mason County PUD 3 replace power lines. The PUD says the replacement will improve the reliability of service in the area.

Monday, Oct. 16 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 17 between 8 and 9 a.m., drivers will encounter one-way alternating traffic.

A southbound shoulder closure will be in place 24 hours a day from 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, through Friday, Oct. 20.

Between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays, Oct. 23 through Oct. 31, the southbound shoulder will be closed and drivers may encounter intermittent one-way alternating traffic with flaggers.
