Football: Timberline Flies by Shelton; MMK Earns 2nd Win

The Shelton football team committed five turnovers and Timberline scored on all but one possession on the way to a 62 to 0 win.

The seventh ranked Blazers improved to 5-and-0 while the Highclimbers drop to 0-and-6.

Shelton returns home next Friday to host Gig Harbor on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC. Kick off is 7 PM.

The Mary M. Knight football team earned its second win of the season Thursday, knocking off the Washington School for the Deaf 48 to 24. The Owls have a 5-and-2 record after last week’s forfiet by Taholah. The boys from Matlock hosts Oakville next Saturday.

The Shelton volleyball team lost to Peninsula three games to two. The Lady Highclimbers drop to 1-and-6 on the season. Shelton travels to North Thurston Wednesday.

The Shelton girls’ soccer team was shut out by North Thurston seven-nil (7 to 0). The Lady Highclimbers have yet to win a game this seaston. They host Gig Harbor Tuesday.

The Shelton girls’ swim team lost at Captial 136 to 31. The Lady Highclimbers swim at Lincoln Tuesday.

The North Mason volleyball team beat Port Angeles three games to 1. The Lady Bulldogs improve to 5-and-3 on the season, 3-and-3 in the Olympic League. The girls from Belfair host Kingston Tuesday.
