Motorists Advised to Avoid SR-3 During House Move

As MasonWebTV Powered by HCC reported Sunday, the move of a house from the north end of Oakland Bay near Shelton to Sequim is now scheduled overnight on October 7th and the State Department of Transportation is advising motorists to avoid the area during the move:

A house move along State Route 3 in Mason County has been scheduled to take place between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. The house move will bring both directions of SR 3 traffic to a crawl between milepost 8.5 and milepost 7.5, approximately between Agate Road and Mason Lake Road.

Traffic will be slowed to just a few miles per hour during the six-hour timeframe that the house is making its mile-long journey, and motorists are advised to use alternate routes while the move is underway.
