Result from SHS cross country
At the Mark Lyle Memorial Invite Saturday, Shelton freshman cross country runner Aiden Gregg finished the 5,000 meter course at Lake Sylvia near Montesano in third place with a personal record time of 21 minutes, 21 seconds. Other Lady Highclimbers to participate: Keagan Leach (finished 7th), Miracle Horne (9th), Hanna Shrum (19th), Torie Bartholomew (20th), and Cordi Atkinson (25th).
On the boys’ side, the Shelton runner was Jakobi Budge who finished 16th, followed by Angel Encarnacion (17th), Ryan Wiles (19th), Sirius James (21st), Matthew Clark (22nd), Raymond Clark (39th) and Joshua Manning (47th).
Some members of the Shelton boys’ cross country team participated in the Bellevue Cross Country Invitational at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah Saturday. Top Highclimbers was William Johnson who finished 27th. Other participants: Aaron Boothe (39th), Ethan Bursch (46th), John Gerchak (54th), Brock Knowles (56th), Brody Knowles (57th), Braden MacAlevy (63rd), and Cameron MacAlevy (70th).
Next up for the Shelton cross country teams is a South Sound Conference meet at Sehmel Homestead Park in Gig Harbor on Wednesday. The Highclimbers will run against Capital, Central Kitsap, Gig Harbor and Peninsula.
