Description: A transport company has cancelled the trip of an oversized load scheduled to travel on southbound State Route 3 in Mason County. The trip had been scheduled to occur during overnight hours between late night Friday and early morning Saturday, Sept. 22-23.
Now scheduled for October 7, 2017. The slow-moving oversized load will travel southbound on SR 3 from milepost 8.5 to milepost 7.5, approximately between Agate Road and Mason Lake Road.
SR 3 – Belfair Area – Widening and Safety Improvements

Description: This widening project extended the center turn lane and provided paved shoulders and sidewalks on both sides of SR 3.

SR 8 – Middle and East Forks Wildcat Creek – Remove Fish Barriers

Description: Crews will remove barriers to fish by constructing bridges across the Middle and East Forks of Wildcat Creek.

Work schedule: Westbound SR 8 is reconfigured to accommodate both directions of traffic. The SR 8 speed limit in the area is reduced to 45 mph. This reconfiguration is illustrated in this YouTube video.
The intersection of SR 8 and SR 108 in McCleary is closed to all traffic around the clock through summer 2019. During the closure, drivers headed to McCleary will be directed to the Mox Chehalis Road interchange.

Description: Utility work. Drivers can expect to encounter alternating one-way traffic with flaggers.

Description: Utility crews will conduct vegetation management. Westbound drivers can expect a single-lane closure.

Description: Culvert inspections and debris removal. Drivers can expect shoulder closures.
Work Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 25, 27 and 28.
