Help Sought to ID Woman Who Passed Counterfeit Money

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a woman who passed a counterfeit $100 bill in Belfair on September 4th.

Chief Deputy Ryan Spurling told MasonWebTV Powered by HCC, the woman used one of the fake hundreds at the Safeway store.

“She had passed one earlier and then she came back and tried to do it again,” the Chief said. “The manage contacted her and she ended up bailing.”

It is not known if this woman is connected to the counterfeit bill reported in Shelton about a month ago.

The woman is described as a white pregnant female in her 20s. Anyone who recognizes this woman or has any information, should contact Deputy Mercado.
