City Lifts Complete Burn Ban – Recreational Fires Allowed

The City of Shelton has lifted it complete ban on burning and now recreational fires are allowed effective 8 AM Thursday. According to a news release, the Fire Marshal has determined that current weather conditions have eliminated the need to continue the complete burn ban enacted in the City of Shelton. Effective Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 8:00 a.m., restrictions on recreational fires will be lifted.

The standard burn restrictions will continue, and the requirements for recreational fires will still be maintained.
