Marcia Stauffer was appointed as the new Patient Navigator in Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics’ (MGH&FC) Care Coordination Services. She has been with MGH&FC since October 2012, working first at MGH Eye Clinic and then in the Anticoagulation Clinic. Marcia received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson. She helps women navigate the many steps in their diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, connecting them with the many resources available to them in the local medical community.
“A breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming and we want women to know they don’t have to go through this experience alone,” said Marcia. “For many years breast cancer patients at MGH&FC have received assistance during this difficult time, and I plan to continue the precedence that was started. I am dedicated to guiding breast cancer patients and their caregivers through the medical maze of diagnosis and treatment options, as well as removing obstacles to appropriate care.” Marcia can be reached at (360) 432-7706 or via email at PatientNavigator@MasonGeneral.com.
