Port Wants Input from Disadvantage Businesses

The Port of Shelton is looking for input from Disadvantaged Businesses in order to meet requirements of receiving federal funds.

The Port is holding a meeting at 2 PM Friday to consult with these types of businesses and stakeholders including minority, women’s and general contractor groups, community organizations, and other officials or organizations which have an interest in airport construction and meet the Disadvantage Business Enterprise criteria.

A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise is for-profit business that is at least 51% owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged. More information can be found on the Code of Federal Regulations website or you can call the Port of Shelton, 360-426-1151.

Friday’s meeting will be held in the in the Commission Chambers at the Port of Shelton, 21 W. Sanderson Way, Shelton.
