Lake Cushman Road to Get Fresh Surface

Drivers traveling between Hoodsport and Lake Cushman can expect delays and a temporary reduced speed limit while crews resurface Lake Cushman Road (State Route 119).

During the summer project, drivers will see one-way alternating traffic with flaggers.  Drivers are advised to be prepared for delays and drive through the construction zone with caution.

The speed limit will be temporarily reduced between mileposts 0.08 and 7.2 during the chip seal project, scheduled to begin by Monday, June 12. WSDOT will lower the current mph speed limit to 35 miles per hour during construction activities.

Crews will apply chip seal – crushed rock embedded into liquid asphalt – as the resurfacing material on sections of the highway.
