Habitat for Humanity Block Party June 24th

Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is hosting an Upcycle Block Party. This family-friendly event is on June 24, 2017, 10 am – 3 pm, in the parking lot of our Shelton Habitat Store 1826 Olympic Hwy N. The party theme is upcycling. There will be live music, raffles, games for kids, food trucks and tons of information on how to upcycle.

Upcycling is when you take something old and use it to make something completely different and new. It’s a great way to learn how to reuse resources. Demonstrations will be held throughout the day.  Raffle tickets are being sold now at the Shelton and Belfair Habitat Stores for a newly constructed garden shed and a backyard playhouse.  At the party, we will have a host of other fun raffle prizes, don’t miss it!  There will also be booths for local non-profits and area agencies.  Jake, the Mason County Sheriff dog, will even make an appearance!  You definitely don’t want to miss out on the fun!

Donations of items for our raffles are sought, as are volunteers willing to share upcycling information with the crowd. For more information, call the Habitat for Humanity office in Shelton at 360-426-8134.  Get ready to join us for an afternoon of fun and creativity!
