One Injured in 101 Crash

A Seattle woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 Saturday night near Hamma Hamma. The State Patrol reports a 2010 Volkswagen Golf was northbound on 101 about 10 PM. Near milepost 321 (which is between Jorsted Creek and Hamma Hamma River), the VW crossed the center line, left the roadway and entered the southbound ditch. The Golf then struck a dirt embankment and rolled at least once, landing on it’s top in the northbound lane.

A passenger in the Volkswagen, Marianna B. Hegyi, 28 of Seattle, was transported by aid car to Mason General Hospital.

The driver of the Golf, Sean P. Mullany, 29 of Sandy, Utah, and another passenger, Eric B. Sanchez, 28 of Kirkland, were not injured.

The Trooper’s report indicates alcohol or drugs were involved and Mullany could face DUI charges.
