One person died and three others were injured – one seriously – in a head-on collision on Highway 3 about a mile north of Bayshore Monday around 8:30 AM. The State Patrol has yet to release an official report on the collision. However, there have been reports that say a 58-year-old Tahuya man died at the scene of the crash and identify the deceased driver as Mark Billings. Initial reports say three trucks were involved with Billings’ vehicle striking the rear of one truck, then crossing the center line and colliding head-on with another truck. One of the trucks ended up off the highway and down an embankment. State Route 3 was blocked for over six hours.
