Results from SHS softball & tennis; NM track & softball

The Shelton softball team came up a run short of Peninsula Monday as the Highclimbers lost to the Seahawks 8 to 7. Shelton is now 8-and-9 on the season, 4-and-8 in the South Sound Conference. The ‘Climbers host North Thurston today (Tuesday, May 9th) and travel to Timberline Wednesday.

The Shelton girls’ tennis team lost at North Thurston 3 to 2. The Highclimbers head to the South Sound Conference Tournament Thursday and Friday at Steamboat Tennis & Athletic Club.

At the Olympic League JV Championships, the North Mason boys finished 3rd while the Lady Bulldogs were 4th in the team standings.

Top placers from Belfair:

Cougar Crowther won the men’s 800 meters with a personal record of 2 minutes, 21.01 seconds and was 2nd in the men’s 3200 meters with a personal record of 12 minutes, 16.62 seconds.
Adrianna Hernandez won the women’s javelin.
Andrew Harker won the men’s pole vault with a personal record of 6 feet, 6 inches.
Seth Conner won the men’s triple jump with a personal record of 34 feet, 1.75 inches.
Sierra Morin finished 2nd in the women’s 400 meters with a personal record of 1 minute, 10.71 seconds, 2nd in the women’s long jump with a personal record of 11 feet, 5.5 inches, and 2nd in the women’s triple jump.
Calista Navarro was 2nd in the women’s 800 meters with a personal record of 3 minutes, 25.36 seconds and 2nd inthe women’s 1600 meters with a personal record of 7 minutes, 49.03 seconds.
Jacob Anderson placed 2nd in the men’s 400 meters.

The North Mason softball team picked up their second Olympic League win Monday beating Bremerton 10 to 2. The Lady Bulldogs are now 3-and-9 on the season, 2-and-8 on League play. The girls from Belfair host Olympic Wednesday and travel to the Trojans on Thursday to wrap up the season.
