Results from SHS Soccer & golf; NM tennis
The Shelton boys’ soccer team has played seven games in a row without a loss and with Tuesday’s 2 to 1 win over Peninsula, the Highclimbers have won six of their last seven games. Shelton has improved to 7-5-and-3 on the season, 6-4-and-3 in the South Sound Conference. The ‘Climbers are fourth in the standings and host Capital Thursday night to wrap up the regular season. If Shelton maintains that SSC #4 seed, they would play the Pierce County League #5 team (currently Bonney Lake) in the West Central District 3/Southwest District 4 Tournament at Ingersoll Stadium in Olympia on May 11th.
The Shelton boys’ golf team beat North Thurston 63 to 57. The Lady Highclimbers lost to the Lady Rams 73 to 30. Shelton’s Tim Nail earned medalist by shooting a 36 even-par at the Links at Hawks Prairie. The ‘Climbers take on Central Kitsap Thursday at Kitsap Golf and Country Club in Bremerton.
The North Mason girls’ tennis team lost to North Kitsap Tuesday 4 to 1. The Lady Bulldogs host Kingston today, Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
