Big Wins for Shelton Yacht Club

The Shelton Yacht Club participated and competed last weekend in the annual boat parade and celebration hosted by Tacoma Yacht Club. The Tacoma Yacht Club Daffodil Marine Festival featured 22 yacht clubs and 160 boats from around the Puget Sound. Shelton had 14 boats competing in various events with several coming away with awards.

Taking First Place in the Decorated Boat was Perdita piloted by Past Commodore Frank Parks.

First Place in the Commodore Hula Contest went to Commodore Linda Shrum.

First Place in the Spirit Trivia competition went to Linda Shrum, Jerry and Jenni Nelson, Debbie Daly, Danny Wrye and Vicki McAferty.

And Third Place in the Flagship Boat went to Time Out piloted by Dick Shrum.

Each participating boat was required to display at least 500 daffodils and not more than 3000 onboard the vessel.
