Results from SHS softball, baseball & golf; NM baseball & golf
The Shelton softball team slipped by Central Kitsap 13 to 12 Monday. This is the second time this season the Lady Highclimbers have beaten the Lady Cougars and have a two-game win streak. Shelton doesn’t have another game scheduled until next Monday at Capital.
The Shelton baseball team shut out Central Kitsap 10 to 0 in five innings. The Highclimbers were led by Max Johnson who went 1 for 2 at the plate with a double and two RBI, Brenden Engstrom was 2 for 2 and batted in a run. And Max Falcon went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Shelton picked up their second South Sound Conference win and improved to 2-and-6 in league play, 3-and-10 on the season. They travel to Central Kitsap Wednesday.
The Shelton golf teams hosted the Sibley Scramble Monday. Olympic topped the scoring with 298. Gig Harbor was 2nd with 308. Followed by Timberline (330), Yelm (338) and Shelton (348). Boys’ Medalist: Sean Vaovasa, Jaydon Raquiza (GH) shot a 9-under-par 63. Girls’ Medalist: Ashley Oh and Natalie Stark (T) shot a 3-over-par 75
The North Mason golf teams beat Port Townsend Monday. The boys won 207 to 233 while the Lady Bulldogs won 238 to 257. The golfers from Belfair host Port Angeles at Lakeland Village Golf Course Thursday.
The North Mason baseball team lost to Olympic 15 to 5. The Bulldogs are now 2-and-10 on the season, 1-and-6 in the Olympic League. The boys from Belfair host Sequim Wednesday.
