Results from SHS track & softball; NM softball, baseball, soccer & tennis
The Shelton boys’ track and field team finished 2nd at the Mountain Invite at Yelm High School Friday behind Central Kitsap. The team scores: the Cougars 156.4, the Highclimbers 93. The Shelton girls were 7th in the team standings.
Top placing ‘Climbers:
Troy Goodwin won the 200 meters.
William Johnson took the 1600 meters and was 3rd in the 800 meters.
Cody Simon was 1st in the pole vault.
Anika Parker placed 2nd in the 3200 meters.
Cody Hall finished 2nd in the javelin.
Ne’a Moffet was 3rd in the 400 meters.
Kaitlyn Paller finished 3rd in the shot put.
Trinity Payment took 3rd in the long jump.
Skyler Johnson tied for 3rd in the long jump.
Raymond Hurt tied for 3rd in the long jump.
Shelton hosts North Thurston on Thursday.
The Shelton softball team was shut out by Timberline 5 to 0. The Highclimbers are now 5-and-6 on the season, 2-and-5 in the South Sound Conference. The Lady-‘Climbers travel to Centralia today (Saturday, April 14, 2017) and return to SSC play Monday at Central Kitsap.
The North Mason softball team picked up their first Olympic League win, holding off a late rally and slipping by Bremerton 9 to 8. The Bulldogs are now 2-and-3 on the season, 1-and-2 in League play. The girls from Belfair host Sequim Wednesday.
The North Mason baseball team was shut out by Bremerton 6 to 0. The Bulldogs are now 2-and-9 on the season, 1-and-5 in the Olympic League. The boys from Belfair travel to Olympic Monday.
The North Mason boys’ soccer team lost at Bremerton one-nil (1 to 0). The Bulldogs are now 1-and-7 overall, 1-and-6 in the Olympic League. The boys from Belfair face winless Olympic Tuesday at Silverdale Stadium.
The North Mason girls’ tennis team lost at Klahowya 4 to 2. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Sequim Tuesday.
