Results from SHS & NM baseball
The Shelton baseball team picked up its first South Sound Conference win Tuesday beating Yelm 3 to 2. The Highclimbers scored first in the fourth inning. The Tornados responded with two runs in the fifth. The ‘Climbers tied the game in their half of the fifth and won it in the bottom of the seventh. Shelton was led by Mike Gerhold who went 2 for 3 at the plate. Max Johnson picked up the win on the mound, allowing two runs on one hit while striking out seven. The Highclimbers improved to 2-and-7 on the season, 1-and-4 in the SSC. They were scheduled to host Gig Harbor today (Wednesday, April 5, 2017) but that game has been rained out.
The North Mason baseball team lost at Cashmere Tuesday 9 to 4. The Bulldogs are now 1-and-6 on the season. The boys from Belfair have two games scheduled for today (Wednesday, April 5, 2017). Their first game is against Quincy at 4 PM. Their second game is against Ephrata at 7 PM. Both games are being played in Ephrata.
