After nearly fifteen years serving on the three-person Board of Commissioners for Public Hospital District No. 1, Nancy Trucksess has retired.
Gayle Weston, branch manager for Shelton Key Bank, was appointed by remaining Board members Scott Hilburn and Don Wilson to fill the position.
“Nancy has been a very positive advocate for the patient and our community, often sharing key insights gained from her experience owning and managing a primary care clinic with her late husband Dr. Mark Trucksess,” said Eric Moll, CEO of Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics (MGH&FC), a part of Public Hospital District No. 1. “We are fortunate to have had her leadership for so many years during a period of great transformation for both MGH&FC and our industry. Her unwavering commitment to advancing our mission leaves a significant legacy of optimism and excellence.”
Moll went on to comment, “Gayle has been a longtime leader in the business community in Mason County, serving as the branch manager for Key Bank. Additionally, Gayle has been very supportive of MGH&FC by serving on the MGH Foundation Board and participating in many of our community events. I am confident Gayle will be a very productive and insightful commissioner with a keen understanding of our community.”
The Public Hospital District 1, Hospital Commissioner Position #3 seat (formerly held by Trucksess and now held by Weston) will be up for election this fall.
