Public Hearing Held on Webb Hill BioRecycling

Thursday, the Washington State Department of Ecology held an information meeting and public hearing on BioRecycling Corporation’s application for coverage under the General Biosolids Permit for their Webb Hill Septage Disposal facility that is officially called the Mason County North Ranch.

The meeting started with Ecology’s Kelsey Dunne, Southwest Regional Biosolids Coordinator, explaining the permitting process. Then those in attendance heard from numerous Bio Recycling officials including owner Roger Hickey and his son, Brian Hickey, who runs the facility near Union.

Ecology is seeking comment from the public on the facility’s application. More information is available online: Comments should be emailed to Peter Lyon at by 5 PM March 16, 2017.
