Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 3 in Belfair Thursday night. According to a State Patrol press memo, a 2001 Ford Expedition and a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup were northbound on SR-3 about 10:30 PM. At the intersection with Highway 300, the Expedition slowed for a flagger. The pickup didn’t and struck the rear of the Ford.
The driver of the Expedition, Alisha A. Gilbertson, 27 of Port Orchard, and the driver of the Chevy, Tomas M. Ceferino 20 of Belfair, were transported by aid car to Harrison Hospital in Bremerton.
The Trooper’s report indicates that the cause of this collision was Ceferino following too close. The memo also says drugs or alcohol are believed to be involved. Ceferino faces charges of DUI and no valid operating license.
