The results from the February 14th Special Election are nearly final as election officials in the Mason County Auditor’s Office released results Thursday with certification set for Friday. According to the latest numbers, all measures on the ballot have passed including the Shelton School District’s $64.8 Million bond.
The bond to reconfigure grades, renovate schools, build an addition at the high school and construct a new Mt. View Elementary School has an approval rate of 60.55%. That’s 2,883 voting for the measure and 1,878 voting against.
The District’s three-year Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy has an approval rate of 64.46%. That’s 3,080 voting “Yes” and 1,698 voting “No”.
The Pioneer School District’s three-year educational programs, maintenance and operations replacement levy has an approval rat of 59.37%. That’s 1,638 voting “Yes” and 1,121 voting “No”.
Mason County Fire District 12 voters have approved a property tax levy lid lift with 67.77% approval. That’s 185 voting in favor of increasing the Fire District’s rate per thousand of assessed value to $1.50 while 88 voted against.
In Mason County Fire District 13, 62.73% of voters approved a property tax levy lid lift to $1.50 per thousand. That 234 voting “Yes” and 139 voting “No”.
The turnout for this election is just under 39% (38.95%) with 7,922 ballots returned. The election will be certified at 10 AM Friday.
