This acclaimed classical musician first performed at age 7. He won his first musical competition at age 9, trained with world renown artists, and performed in many countries. His name is not Mozart.
British classical guitarist Michael Partington will give a musical performance and talk about the history of classical guitar at the North Mason Timberland Library on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 7-8 p.m.
Partington is recognized as one of the most engaging of the new generation of concert players. Classical Guitar Magazine has praised him for his “lyricism, intensity and clear technical command.” Partington has appeared throughout the Britain, North America, Russia and Scandinavia. He is currently the director of the Guitar Program at the University of Washington.
