Shelton Arts Commission Empty Bowls

The Shelton Arts Commission is pleased to announce the dates for the 13th annual Empty Bowls project, a three night creative effort to fight hunger.   Last year the event raised over $1,700 for The Saint’s Pantry Food Bank.On the first night, March 1, participants hand-build one of a kind ceramic bowls.  All materials and instruction is provided for all ages and abilities.  The event, held at the Shelton Civic Center from 5:00-7:00 PM, is free to everyone.

The second night, March 8, participants will glaze and decorate the bowls.  This is again a free event for any participant.  Extra bowls will be available to those that were not able to participate in the first night.  The event will be held at the Shelton Civic Center from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Empty Bowls is culminated on the third night, March 15, when all the bowls will be on display and available to be taken home for a $10.00 donation.  With that donation six participating restaurants; Olympic Bakery & Deli, Sisters Restaurant, The Strip Steak House, Xinh’s Clam and Oyster House, Smokin’ Mo’s, and Kern’s Kitchen will provide a delicious bowl of soup and bread.  ALL proceeds go to The Saint’s Pantry Food Bank.
