Second Half Surge Leads MMK Boys Past Columbia Adventist

The Mary M. Knight boys’ basketball team used a second half surge to blow by Columbia Adventist Academy 66 to 44. 

The Owls and Kodiaks were locked in a back and forth game in the first half that included eight lead changes and four ties. Columbia Adventist had a two-point lead after the first quarter and Mary M. Knight had four-point lead at the half. That changed in the third quarter when the boys from Matlock held the Kodiaks to six points while scoring 15. That second half surge continued into the fourth with the Owls building a 22-point lead. MMK’s big men led the way with Sean Sexton scoring 28 points and Eric Johnson adding 15.  The Owls play Taholah Monday for the District Championship at 4 PM on
