The Shelton bowling team came up 31 pins short of qualifying as a team for the State Bowling Tournament at last Saturday’s District Tournament. However, two Highclimbers, Kaylee Slone and Kaylee Schilter, did qualify for this Friday’s State Championships as individuals.
Competing at the district’s for Shelton were; Kaylee Slone, Taiyler Brown, Dreann Merriman, Rebecca Robinson, Kaylee Schilter, Courtney Chamberlin and Annalee Schilter.
State Bowling Tournament is at Narrows Plaza in Tacoma. Competition will begin at 12:00 PM.
Two Shelton bowlers made the South Sound Conference’s All-Conference teams: sophomore Kaylee Schilter was named to the 2nd Team while junior Rebecca Robinson earned an honorable mention.
