CPEG Presents Check to Shelton School Board

On Tuesday, January 10, 2017, the Community Partner Education Grant (CPEG) program  presented the Shelton School Board with a check for $9,761.00 to fund several educational grants for various teachers.

The CPEG mission is to enrich local classrooms and schools by funding educational material and/or programs that directly enhance the students learning experience. This year the CPEG was able to fund 36 educational grants, from South Mason and East Grays Harbor Counties, that amounted to $19,317

The Community Partners are comprised of local businesses in South Mason County and East Grays Harbor including Belco Forest Products, Elma Family Dental, Green Diamond Resource Company, Hood Canal Communications, Our Community Credit Union, Shelton Dental Center, Sierra Pacific Foundation, Simpson Door Company, and Vaughan Chopper Pumps.

The next grant application period is available on September 1, 2017 and closes on December 31, 2017. Grant awards will then be determined by the Partner representatives and funds distributed for immediate use for the 2017/18 calendar school year.
