Events to Help Shelton Students on Saturday

Citizen’s for Shelton Schools is pleased to announce the upcoming events on January 21, 2017. We are joining forces with Shelton Kiwanis and the #FilltheTruck2 event to bring support and awareness to the community for the students of the Shelton School District.
On Saturday January 21, the #FilltheTruck2 campaign will be collecting donations for the students in need in our community. Collection locations will be at our community Wal-Mart and Fred Meyer stores. Donations can also be made throughout the day at Shelton High School. The Shelton Kiwanis will host a Pancake Breakfast located at the Shelton High School Student Union Building (SUB). Following the breakfast Citizens for Shelton Schools
will be hosting “Shelton’s Got Talent” featuring The Zaniac, Alex Zerbe, from America’s Got Talent in the Shelton High School Performing Arts Center from 12-2. Both events will be free to the public. A donation jar will be on site for those who would like to make a donation.

At 2 p.m., the Shelton High School campus as well as the Mountain View Elementary school campus will be open to the public for community tours. The SUB will also hold a display of community and school organizations that offer opportunities to the youth of our
community. There will be a Community BBQ, by donation, on the Shelton High School Campus from 2-5 p.m.

At the conclusion of the donation event, collected items will be brought to the Shelton High School Stadium for a community-wide celebration community support beginning at 5 p.m. We believe that our community is filled with engaged, compassionate people who are capable of achieving greatness. We invite all of our neighbors in Mason County to join us for all or part of the events of the day.
