There are numerous meetings Tuesday to start 2017.
First, the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council of Mason County are holding their annual legislative send off at the Colonial House. The Chamber and EDC host Senator Tim Sheldon, Representative Dan Griffey and Representative Drew MacEwen and present their priorities for the 2017 session which begins January 9th. The send off begins at 7:30 AM.
The Mason County Commission holds its first meeting of 2017 at 9 AM in their chambers at 411 N. 5th Street in Shelton. The three Commissioners are also expect to attend the legislative send off. MasonWebTV Powered by HCC will broadcast the County Commission meeting live.
The Port of Shelton Commission holds its first meeting of 2017 at 2 PM in their chambers at 21 W. Sanderson Way. The Port Commissioner may also attend the legislative send off.
Shelton City Commission meets Tuesday, January 3, 2017. This is a change from Monday due to the recognition of New Year’s Day. The City Commission meets at 6 PM in the Courtroom at the Shelton Civic Center. The City Commissioners are also expected to attend the legislative send off. Meanwhile, the Port of Grapeview will be holding a special meeting at 7 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017. There are three items on the meeting’s agenda: review HHJ Final Contract copy; move $3700 to capital construction account, and authorize survey to proceed; not to exceed $10,000. The Port of Grapeview Commission meets at the Grapeview Community Center.
