The Timberline boys’ basketball team led from the start and rolled past Shelton Friday night 70 to 50 on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
The Blazers led by as many as 11 in the first quarter, 18 in the second and 25 after three quarters. Timberline also had three players score in double digits: Erik Stevenson with 14; Tariq Romain and Jaelen Bush with 12 each.
The Highclimbers’ Kyle Kimball led all scorers with 18 points. Tyler Giraldes finished with 9. Caeleb Hitsman added 8. Marshall McCullough was held to 6. Travis Colbenson had 5. And 2 apiece for Cole Forsman and Jha’mal Johnson.
Shelton dropped to 5-and-6 on the season, 1-and-4 in the SSC. The Blazers stayed a game behind Capital with a 4-and-1 conference record, 7-and-3 overall,
The Highclimbers travel to Yelm next Wednesday.
The Shelton girls’ basketball team was held to 7 points in the third quarter and was outscored 37 to 20 in the second half as the Lady Highclimbers dropped their third game in a row at Timberline Friday losing 60 to 47.
Jordyn Peterson and Kayla Gairns led Shelton in the loss scoring 10 points each.
The Lady-‘Climbers drop to 7-and-4 on the season, 2-and-3 in the South Sound Conference. They host Yelm next Wednesday in a game on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC.
The North Mason boys’ basketball team picked up their first Olympic League win Friday knocking off Sequim 61 to 47. The Bulldogs improved to 5-and-6 on the season, 1-and-4 in the league play. The boys from Belfair travel to Bremerton Tuesday.
The North Mason girls’ basketball team lost to Sequim 57 to 40. The Lady Bulldogs remain winless in five Olympic League games and dropped to 2-and-9 on the season. They host Bremerton Tuesday.
