The Shelton boys’ basketball team needed overtime to beat North Mason in a non-league game on MasonWebTV Powered by HCC. Final score was Highclimbers 67; Bulldogs 65.
Shelton was able to build a 12-point lead in the second quarter only to see North Mason whittle that down to eight at half and overtook the ‘Climbers in the third. The Bulldogs were up by four in the fourth but Shelton forced overtime.
In OT, North Mason was able to go up three but the Highclimbers were able to comeback and Tyler Giraldes hit the winning basket with four seconds left.
Shelton had four players score in double digits led by Kyle Kimball’s 17 points. Marshall McCullough added 16 points. Tyler Giraldes chipped in 12. And Caeleb Hitsman scored 10. Jason Kenyon also added 9 points.
For the boys from Belfair,Trey Fisher led all scorers with 20 points in limited playing time due to foul trouble. Brice Solis and Troy McCormick each had 12 points. and Kevin Burell-Briggs chipped in 11.
With the win, Shelton ended a three-game losing skid and evened their record at 3-and-3. North Mason dropped to 4-and-5 on the season.

The Bulldogs are off until January 3 when they host Olympic.
