The Mason County Commission has adopted the County’s budget for 2017. The budget totals $102,109,705 which includes $38,545,163 for the Current Expense and $63, 564,542 in Special Funds. Adoption came after the Commissioners held a public hearing Monday morning.
During the hearing, Mason County Superior Court Judge Toni Sheldon identified some inaccuracies in the budget document while Mason County Sheriff Casey Salisbury pointed out the reductions in his department’s budget.
The vote on the 2017 budget was two to one with Commissioner Tim Sheldon voting against.
