Shelton Police Seek Information on Hit & Run Driver

shelton_patch2The Shelton Police Department is seeking information on a suspected hit and run driver who led officers on a chase south on U.S. Highway 101. Here is a news release on the incidents…

Friday morning at around 11:55 AM, a red 2001 Dodge Durango struck two vehicles on Olympic Highway North and Wallace Kneeland Boulevard while driving in a reckless manner. Police got behind the suspect vehicle after the crash and attempted to stop it. risbeck_durango_669-ypgThe Durango continued to drive in a reckless manner and went south on U.S. Highway. Speeds reached 100+ MPH, at which time the officers terminated the pursuit as it became too much of a public safety hazard to continue.

669-ypgThe Dodge Durango should have damage to the driver’s side and passenger side rear quarter panel. It is bearing WA License Plate: 669-YPG.

A person of interest in this case has been identified as Daniel J. Risbeck, a 28-year-old Shelton man.  Risbeck also has a confirmed felony warrant out of the Washington State Department of Corrections for escape from Community Custody.
