Mason County Clerk, Ginger Brooks, has announced her retirement. Brooks made the announcement at the end of Tuesday’s Mason County Commission meeting and told the Commissioners her retirement would be effective in January.
Brooks has worked in the Clerk’s Office since July of 1987 and was appointed Clerk on November 1, 2012 after the retirement of Pat Swartos. Brooks ran for the remainder of Swartos’ term the following fall and was elected to her current term in 2014.
The Mason County Commission will appoint some one to serve as Clerk until the next general election in 2017.
