Pumpkin Carving ContestBbenefits Adopt-A-Pet Shelter Dogs

Adopt a petGet your carving gear ready to help local shelter dogs.  Coffinbirth Tattoo & Curiosities of Shelton is holding a Halloween pumpkin carving contest. Cash prizes are $100 for first place, $50 for second and $20 for third.  The entry fee, which will be donated to Adopt-a-Pet, is $5 for each pumpkin.

This fundraiser was created by Coffinbirth owners, Elizabeth and Garrett, who are also donating the prize money.   If you’ve ever stopped in to enjoy the “curiosities” part of their shop, you can imagine that Halloween is their favorite time of the year.   “We wanted to help the community celebrate the holiday, create a fun display for downtown, and help Adopt-a-Pet”, says Elizabeth.

All pumpkins need to be dropped off at Coffinbirth Tattoo & Curiosities on October 30th between noon and 8:00 PM.  Vote for your favorite onsite or online and the winners will be announced on Halloween at 7:00 PM.  The community is invited to stop by on Halloween night to enjoy all of the lit pumpkins.
