All three high school football teams in Mason County played Friday night with Shelton falling to number 4 Peninsula, North Mason picking up its first win at Port Angeles, and Mary M. Knight losing to Rainier Christian in overtime.
The Highclimbers couldn’t stop the Seahawks’ Kenny Easton and Blake Cantu, losing 42 to 0.
Shelton is now 2-and-2 on the season, 1-and-1 in the South Sound Conference. The ‘Climbers host Timberline next Friday. MasonWebTV.com and Hood Canal Communications will have a live video stream of the game.
North Mason picked up its first win of the season beating Port Angeles on the road 6 to 0. The Bulldogs are now 1-and-3 on the season, 1-and-1 in the Olympic League. The boys from Belfair host Olympic next Friday.
The Mary M. Knight football team took Rainier Christian to overtime but came up two points short, losing 44-42. The Owls are now 1-and-3 on the season. The host Naselle next Saturday.
