Ballots for the Primary Election need to be returned to the Mason County Auditor’s Office by 8 PM Tuesday or have a postmark no later than August 2, 2016. There are six ballot drop box locations in Mason County:

There are over 36,000 active registered voters in Mason County who are deciding the top two candidates who will advance to the General Election regardless of party.
Races on the ballot include U.S. Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Public Lands, State Treasurer, State Auditor, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Insurance Commissioner, and Supreme Court Justice Position 5.
Mason County has two Congressional Districts (6th & 10th), so there is a race for U.S. Representative on the primary ballot.
The 35th Legislative District incompasses all of Mason County, so you are deciding races for the two positions for State Representative.
Voters in Mason County Commissioner Districts 1 & 2 and Mason County PUD No. 1 are deciding those races.
Voters in the City of Shelton, Mason County Fire District 11 and Mason County Fire District 17 are deciding on Emergency Medical Services levies.
