SPLASH (Support & Preserve Lifelong Aquatic Safety & Health) of Mason County was honored at the Washington Association of School Administrators awards banquet on May 25 for their fundraising efforts on behalf of the Shelton High School pool.  SPLASH was nominated to receive the Exemplary WASA Leadership Award by Dr. Alex Apostle, superintendent of the Shelton School District.

“Having raised $127,000 in just over two months was a monumental community wide effort and really shows what the greater Shelton-area can do on behalf of our kids, schools and community,” said Jacquie MacAlevy, president of SPLASH.  “We were honored to be recognized.”  In addition to SPLASH, Mason General Hospital and Family of Clinics were also recognized for their fundraising and leadership for the pool.
