Highclimbers in the Post Season

SHS axSeveral Shelton Highclimbers are participating in post season play including the softball team, 18 from the track and field team, three from the girls’ tennis team, and three golfers.

The Shelton fastpitch softball team plays Peninsula in the first round of the West Central / Southwest bi-district tournament at Sprinker Recreation Center in Spanaway Friday at 10 AM. In the second round, the Lady-‘Climbers play either Prairie or Kennedy Catholic at 2 PM if they win or at 4 PM if they lose. This is a double elimination tournament.

Here are the 18 athletes (and their events) from the Shelton track and field team who will be competing in the West Central / Southwest bi-district meet Friday and Saturday at Sunset Chevrolet Stadium in Sumner:

Shelton girls’ tennis will be represented at the West Central / Southwest bi-district tournament Friday and Saturday at Sprinker Tennis Center in Spanaway by Julia Goodale in singles (5th place at the Narrows League championships) and Kiara Budge/Loryn Ziegler (2nd in doubles at NL championships).

Shelton golfers headed to the Class 3A State Tournament in Spokane next Tuesday and Wednesday are Ethan Pentony who is making his first trip to state, Jaymie Pentony and Tim Nail.
