Mason General Hospital Auxiliary, a chapter of Mason General Hospital Foundation, has offered Health Care Scholarships to graduating seniors from county high schools for 50 years.  At first, the scholarships were for nursing careers only. Later, the scholarships were expanded to include technicians and therapists, and eligibility was extended to other students and currently employed personnel of MGH&FC.

The Scholarship Fund consists of proceeds from the MGHF Gift Shop (maintained and staffed by Auxiliary members and volunteers) and from Memorials made to the Auxiliary. The amount of each scholarship award is determined annually by the size of the Fund and number of selected recipients. The 2016 recipients each received $2,000 for the 2016-17 academic year.
