The following are results from high school sports played on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 including softball and baseball:
The Shelton softball team broke a two-game losing streak by crushing Lincoln 18 to 8. The Highclimbers improve to 10-and-3 on the season, 8-and-3 in the Narrows League and still hold on to second place in the standings behind Central Kitsap. The Lady-‘Climbers have a non-league game against Curtis today (Thursday, April 28th).
The Shelton baseball team clobbered Lincoln for the second time this week 15 to 5. The Highclimbers appear to be a lock for the fifth spot in the District Tournament with an 4-and-8 Narrows League record, 7-and-11 overall. There are two games left in the regular season both against Mt. Tahoma which has only one win. Shelton travels to Tacoma Friday to face the T-Birds and then wraps up the regular season at home against Mt. Tahoma on Monday. The District Tournament begins May 7th.
The North Mason softball team was shut out by Kingston 18 to 0. The Lady Bulldogs are now 1-and-12 on the seaon. The girls form Belfair host Sequim Tuesday.
